National Sports Award Releases
The winners of the National Sports Award will be announced on November 30
On November 30, the State Kremlin Palace will host a solemn ceremony of awarding the winners of the National Sports Award. It will be the main sporting event within the framework of the 100th anniversary of the formation of the state governing body in the field of physical culture and sports.
The event will be attended by eminent Russian athletes and coaches, significant industry representatives, heads of sports facilities, regional governing bodies in the field of physical culture and sports, and others.
Participants can qualify for victory in one of 11 all-Russian competitions in 18 categories.
“The National Sports Award is a symbol of respect and gratitude to all people who work in sports, one of the priority areas of state policy. This is a unique opportunity to celebrate the contribution of those who serve for the benefit of sports, develop it and help promote and improve the quality of sports services,” emphasized Oleg Matytsin, Minister of Sports of the Russian Federation.
Submission of applications for participation continues. The regulations for each competition, selection criteria and declared participation format are located on the award page on the website of the Russian Ministry of Sports.
Over the years, the award winners have been outstanding athletes and coaches, representatives of federations, educational institutions and regional sports bodies.
The National Sports Award was established by Decree of the Government of the Russian Federation dated July 1, 2010 No. 493 in order to stimulate the professional activities of athletes, coaches and specialists in the field of physical culture and sports.
